Office Assistant

We are seeking to recruit an experienced Office Assistant to work from our busy Ikeja office in Lagos and will report directly to the Supervisor, Freight Management Division of the Company. There are scopes for job satisfaction and career fulfilment.

 

The role:

This is a full-time permanent position.

 

Requirements:

Good level of education up to National Diploma or equivalent

Ability to participate in continuous professional development (CPD).

Ability to use standard software packages (e.g. Microsoft Office) and to learn bespoke packages if required.

Good communication, customer service and relationship-building skills.

Teamworking skills.

Organisation and time management skills.

Attention to detail.

High degree of multi-tasking and time management capability.

Negotiation skills.

Assertiveness and Flexibility.

Tact, discretion and diplomacy.

The ability to be proactive and use your initiative: to see what needs doing and to do it.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

Answer phone calls and redirect them when necessary, take messages and handle correspondence.

Meet and greet customers.

Liaise with customers and agents.

Maintain diaries and arrange appointments.

Type, prepare and collate reports.

Log and process bills and expenses.

Develop and maintain filing systems.

Check frequently the levels of office supplies and place appropriate orders.

Manage databases.

Support and facilitate the completion of regular reports.

Prioritise workloads.

Implement new procedures and administrative systems.

 

Salary: We offer generous remuneration package, subject to experience and qualifications (extra payment for overtime work).
